LO3: Imported footage
Screenshots of imported footage:
The title screen will introduce the audience to the name of the documentary and will be an indication on what the documentary is about this is evident by the screenshot above. To create this effect we used an effect on premiere that allowed us to apply two identical boxes and add an animation that makes them fade in. By doing so allows the overall effect if the title screen to appear more professional and allows it to have a more cinematic effect. The videos that have been imported in the title sequence our two punning shots off the location, which will show the audience where she is now. we were able to add text to the title sequence by adding a graphics page onto the video to allow the title to be seen whilst the videos are playing in the background. We were unable to add different transitions to the edit that fit the theme of the overall documentary, for instance we decided to fade the top and bottom section of the video to highlight the title of the documentary. doing so creates the impact of importance thought the title has on the documentary as it clarifies to the audience the general themes of our short film. Additionally the darker cooler which surrounds the title when the video is faded portrays a dark setting, which Necessary because we are discussing the topic of murder and other criminal acts.
This is a screenshot of the first clip that discusses the overall topics and themes within our short film. The unedited clip exceeded the time frame that we originally planned as it included unnecessary footage, such as a camera focusing before the dialogue. This meant that we cropped out unwarranted Footage in order to meet they particular time frame that we set. Now the clip is 00:00:00-00:17:08. Once we were happy with the time frame at this specific clip we were able to add specialist effects, more specifically transitions so that each scene ran more smoothly and the overall documentary was more fluid. this also meant that the information was presented straight away and that was no ‘dead air’ meaning that the audience were given all the details straight away. Additionally the video duration has been slightly enhanced from the original recording In order for the time limit to be met and made it possible for us to add extra detail such as images without exceeding the time frame.
When using textual graphics, we wanted to add an effect that
will slowly fade in the text bit by bit and then wants the audience has been
given ample time to read the information we fade out the text. It is evident
from the screenshot above got we used the ‘graphics’ section in premiere and
turn the animation capacity down which faded the text when we deemed necessary.
We did the same when fading in, however turned to the capacity up rather than
down. Textual graphics also need to be positioned so that the text can be seen
by all audiences And the texts can also be positioned in order. Additionally
the anchor point if the text allow for the graphic text to move from either in
the centre of the video to moving to the left or right instead.
